    This game has the potential to be the best multiplayer with AI experience, but for non host players the experience is ruined because the AI fail to "see" the non-host player's car correctly and the desync leads to them being taken out almost every race. Even on the lowest aggression settings.

    I have no game dev knowledge, but one solution I can think of is have AI leave an extra margin of space based on the average ping of the player they're near. When comparing views of an accident, on my end (host) the AI brakes behind the other player and doesn't touch them, but on their end (non-host) they get rear ended because of this desync due to ping.

    ---Edit: I've found a very consistent place where this happens, the top of the corkscrew on Laguna Seca. If you brake as a non-host player in front of the AI, you're basically guaranteed to get hit. We've resorted to driving on the inside line to avoid this.

    Also as an extra note, please bring the AI options available in single race and championship to multiplayer! I'd love to host 5x mistake lobbies for fun and adjust the AI wet scalar which isn't possible currently.

    One day if the AI features are complete in multiplayer I can imagine running championships together like a career mode but as it stands it's just not possible.

    This game is absolutely fantastic.

    Please look into the feasibility of implementing quad views / DFR. This would make AMS 2 the absolute king of Sim Racing!!!

    Can you record a clip of that? Have driven the track with against in Multiclass quite often and didn't see this happening.

    Not sure if this has been brought up before, but it would be nice if the visible steering wheel option was saved separate when launching in VR vs flat. I hate having to remember to turn it on or off depending on how I last raced.

    Tyre Branding Customization – The Final Touch for Full Vehicle Customization

    ss142331.jpg
    Custom rims is a super immersive feature

    First, I want to thank Reiza Studios for the incredible work you’ve done over the years in listening to the community and implementing so many of our suggestions. When I think about how far we’ve come, it’s truly impressive:
    • We started with car skin customization through XML overrides, which opened the door to endless creativity.
    • Then came the ability to customize helmets, suits, and gloves, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the racing experience.
    • More recently, we’ve seen the introduction of new shaders like bluegreen and bluemetallic+chrome, which have added even more depth and realism to our creations.
    • And just recently, we gained the ability to modify rims, bringing us one step closer to full vehicle customization.
    All of these additions have been immensely appreciated and have allowed players like me to dive deeper into the world of motorsport, making AMS2 an even more immersive and personalized experience.

    However, there’s one final piece of the puzzle that I believe would complete the customization journey: tyre branding.

    In the world of motorsport, especially in categories like Formula 1, tyre branding has always played a significant role. The tyre wars of the past were iconic and added an extra layer of realism and immersion to the sport. For example, just to name a few :
    • V10 Gen 2 (2001) with the Michelin vs. Bridgestone battle ;
    • V10 Gen 1 (1997) with Bridgestone vs. Goodyear battle ;
    • Classic Gen 4 (1991 with Pirelli vs. Goodyear battle ;
    These tyre wars were not just about performance; they were also about brand identity and visual distinction. Being able to customize tyre branding would add that final touch of authenticity, especially in historical categories where tyre manufacturers were a key part of the narrative.

    With tyre branding, I truly believe we would reach the pinnacle of what can be customized in AMS2. It’s that final touch that would allow us to immerse ourselves fully in the era we’re racing in.

    Reiza team, if you’re listening, I’d love to see tyre branding customization added to the game. I have no doubt that the community would embrace it, and it would be another fantastic step forward.

    Thank you again for all the amazing work you’ve done so far—I can’t wait to see what the future holds for AMS2!

    Here's a small example taken from the AI POV. Notice how it looks normal but on the friend's screen the AI absolutely punts him from the rear left. If the AI just left a tiny bit more space online this wouldn't happen even on low aggression :(
    They unfortunately just can't account for ping and combined with these high speed cars it leads to this.

    Oh wow, I actually laughed out loud on that.

    This really seems like a Desync issue that your friend was lagging slightly and the AI doesn't account in ping. Now I understand your point of what you meant, thank you for sharing that

    Does this also happen you both drive bumper to bumper? I could imagine that you would also rearend him then if on your host-pov you actually left space?

    Yeah watching it back is a good laugh, the car spinning through the air is great.

    I want to say yes, but generally we're not driving nose to tail like the AI try to do to you lol. It's very rare for something like this to happen between players I feel. I don't want to call it lag, since it's very consistent and predictable which is why I think a tiny bit of extra space would fix the issue completely.

    It mainly happens any time there's a difference in speed between players and AI, one other example is the pit entry where the AI can brake much later than you. I was rear ended in testing letting the friend host because the AI can't' react to your braking like in singleplayer.

    I would like to suggest a change to the vehicle selection layout. I imagine the list of classes was organized into two columns because of the incredible number of classes we currently have available in the game, but in terms of interface usability, the two-column layout is exceptionally poor, especially for players who don't have quick or easy access to a mouse during a session. I've already reported a bug on this screen where, in order to switch between the list of classes and the list of liveries for the selected vehicle, you have to perform a bizarre combination of keys often undoing the class selection or changing it unintentionally. Furthermore, navigating the list doesn't work very well with the mouse, whether using the scroll wheel or clicking and dragging the scroll bar.

    I believe that changing this layout to a single-column list would greatly improve the usability of this screen. Or, even better, if this list were transformed into a completely separate screen, perhaps.

    I remember that in Project Cars 2 the listing was displayed with the chosen filter in one column and the cars in a grid, so by using the same engine, I believe AMS2 certainly have possibilities for improvement in these layouts for a better user experience when choosing vehicles, reducing the ammount of clicking, dragging and dancing around between inputs.

    After todays patch the AI are noticeably better in MP from the races we did. Not having the sideways wheels as they drove in a straight line was a huge plus for immersion. We were able to complete multiple races on high aggression even and the worst I got was a bit of a tap during heavy breaking zones which is hard for the AI to predict.

    -Now we just need the wet and mistake multipliers and we're set!

    I know I've asked for this before but I would still LOVE to see, especially after today's update, on the vehicle information page whether the car has Auto-Blip and Shift Cut as standard. A lot of older sequential vehicles need a manual blip on downshift (usually alongside heel-toe) and that pretty much includes all the new 2004/2005 vehicles added.

    Has anyone ever suggested adding a separate key bind for (N)eutral? I have a big fat N-Button on my wheel and it reminds me everytime, that AMS2 is my only sim where I can’t use it.

    As AMS2 continues to improve, I think one of the pain points is still that it's not really great for hours-long endurance racing because there's no session save, online driver swap, async driver swap or anything like that. It's great to see all the IMSA and endurance content, but it still feels like it's "sprint racing with endurance cars" from a practical standpoint. I hope at some point this can be dealt with.

    Some things I'd like to be included/changed:
    1. Better car/tracks collection management: search, sorting by make, and a “favorites” folder.
    2. Proper cloud synchronization for your profile.
    3. A progression system: even the simplest “campaign” mode. Pick a class, race, earn points — just something to keep a sense of achievement. I know a campaign is coming, so that might be covered soon.
    4. UI overhaul: not just the HUD but overall navigation. I love presets, but they ruin the UX — color schemes can turn your “YES” buttons red and vice versa.
    5. Achievements: not necessarily Steam-side; in-game ones would do.
    6. Higher refresh-rate support: optional, since it might be limited by the engine.
    7. Tyre compound info in the HUD
    8. Fuel calculation when the race duration is set in minutes, rather than in laps
    9. Session skip/simulation.
    10. Pit-lane not being an arbitrary half-baked monstrocity.
    11. Same with Yellow Flag mechanic. It's obviously half baked still.
    Honestly, while I enjoy new cars and venues, and all the AI/physics revision, I would really like to see the devs slow down on the content creation side and... finish the core game. I'm sorry if that's harsh. I understand the cash must flow, though, so maybe it's not an option.

    What refresh rate are you having trouble achieving? Mine is running at my monitor's native 3440x1440 at 240hz (239 in-game). FPS is 170-ish at max settings with no tearing. I don't use V-Sync in any games and haven't since before I got high-hz monitors. Might be worth posting in Help and Support if you're not able to achieve your maximum refresh rate :)

    360 hz. I had a thread about it at one point. The engine does not seem to support it but you can select the option in the settings; it resets the saved settings if you do.

    Hello, I would like to know and propose if the category of Argentine tourism road and Argentine tracks can be added. some historical ones like Balcarce and the Zonda de San Juan among others. Reiza is missing but excellent work and as I say, love is made into a video game.

    I would love for a full blown free cam photo mode that is not restricted to where your car is on track or collision detection with other objects. My dream is to be able to move the camera insanely high above the circuit and get one of those 10,000ft aerial shots that let you see the entire circuit from above.[IMG]
