The Feature Request Thread...

Please give the host of a public server the ability to INSTA-KICK anyone without needing a vote kick ! Yesterday in my group we were doing public lobby races with 26 people and we needed to kick one rammer yet even with 8 votes we could not get rid of him and random people did not vote at all. This desperately needs to be a feature.

Also please add an OPTION for online races so that from your point of view "Cars lap down" would switch to a ghost when approached by a car that is on the lead lap. It would help a lot for public lobbies.

 

Developers, please introduce daily online ranking races within the game itself. A huge number of people are waiting.Online will increase instantly.This is a key part of simulation competitions.

 

Sounds great but I doubt this would work. There is a reason why most photomodes restrict you to a certain radius around the player. The devs only modell objects seen from the track (to safe on dev-time and in-game-performance) so as soon as you look behind the curtain there are a lot of missing ground-textures, buildings with open sides, endless 2D-walls of trees and hedges and everything is floating inside a spheric skybox.
[I fell through the map once in VR and it was an unforgettable & eyeopening experience...]

 

I know that's probably already in here, but Group 5 vehicles would be a dream, a DLC would be just a group. 5. All vehicles. I don't think I'm the only one I want.

 

Hello everyone, thanks Reiza for this beautiful update! I have a question: in some sims there is a free camera ( especially on replays ) there you can place the camera anywhere you want and twist it by yourself and do very great videos or just Enjoy racing from every angle you can imagine! That's gonna be a very good feature
Is there any chance of adding it?

 

Would love a easy way to change all the default setups on all cars to have 100% Brake Pressure as the default instead of 90%

 

please please please add a flat screen tv style replay camera just like the one used for flat screen for us vr users, i so miss being able to sit in the pits whilst in qualifying/practice with the ability to watch any selected car do its thing out on track as the camera follows the car around with tv esque views, or just watching a race back at the end, the static sideline views currentley used are pretty cool and all, but they really dont work very well in its ability to depict the racing action, for multiple reasons, they dont follow a selected car, and you need to manaually try to keep up by selecting the next view, its also quite impossible to follow your own car as you have to constantly spin your head to follow them as the go by and its very difficult to even know which car your in, but by far and wide the absolute worst issue of all is the trackside views in vr is the performance its insanely laggy even when running with a 5090 whilst the game runs smoothly at 90 fps when racing, the trackside camera replay brings my system to its knee`s, and the cars are just a blurry jagged mess, yes i could save the race and lower all my settings but i`d still not be able to follow the race very well, or exit and start in flat screen, but thats not the point, it would be incredble to have the same option as flat screen users, is there any possiblity of a tv cam ever being implemented into vr? i would think the vast majority of vr users would rejoice if were ever to happen,

 

What I expect on AMS2 in the future:
1.more-detailed vibration feedback for PC CONTROLLER just like on LMU and ACC (On AMS2, at most times I have vibration feedback ONLY WHEN the car runs over a curb, but there is no vibration at all when the car runs on a flat surface. I think that there should be vibration feedback only if a)the engine works and b)there is friction between tires and track surface including the situation of turning the wheel whether the car is running or not.)
2. Nvidia DLSS(to achieve steadily high framerate and acceptable graphics quality at the same time)
3. More F1 tracks and street circuits like Baku, Singapore, etc.
4. Improved GT3 cars' physics(I haven't tried the latest version, but in the previous versions GT3 cars seem to have no weight and feel very slippery like soaps, which is a terrible experience and totally not related to tricky oversteer setup.)

Could you please let us know if it’s technically possible for AMS2 to switch to native OpenXR instead of the current OpenVR runtime?

It would also be great to know if there are any plans to add MVP (Multi-View Projection) instead of SPS, and Dynamic Foveated Rendering for high-end VR headsets with Tobii eye-tracking support.

Please don’t ignore this question — it’s important for many VR users who want to make the most out of their headsets.

You have previously mentioned that the Madness Engine isn’t capable of handling driver changes in online endurance races, which shows there are engine-level limitations. We’d just like to understand whether a transition to OpenXR and DFR is technically possible within those same limits.

Request Title: Add "year, auto-blip and engine cut" to car info.
Description: Since we have so many different cars from so many eras in the game, it would be nice to have some more info about them. "Auto-blip" and "engine cut" are essential for people who enjoy realism. "Year" would also be a good thing, especially on the generic models. "Tank capacity" would also be a nice addition.
Benefits: It would help people who enjoy realism to make a proper set-up. It would also help people who don't know so much about racing history.
Here's an exaggerated example:

Does anyone know if Reiza has plans to include a ranked online system within the simulator? Or at least integrate LFM into the simulator so that people know it exists?

 

I wonder if is possible even with a paid dlc to add more “Milano” cars specially at GT3 class?

 

Is it possible to see the ability to restrict tyre compounds for certain races, especially during a championship.

So for instance on cars with soft, medium and hard tyres, restrict it so only medium and hard can be used for the weekend.
(Yes I'm watching WEC and that's what prompted me to think of this. The Hypercars only have the medium and hard tyres available.)

 

Give us more statistics for custom AI-seasons. A possibiliy to view detailed race-results afterwards would be great

Can you please add a search function to easily look up specific car or track by simply typing the 1st few letters of the name.
It is difficult to quickly find a specific car or tract especially if you own all DLCs.

 

@reiza - AMS2 the final steps toward perfection:

This sim really needs track marshals after accidents that waving yellow flags, ideally with visible cleanup activity on the track. (and blue flags) The pit lane should also be populated with people. All of this adds greatly to immersion and is essential!
