Have you used the Supersampling setting in the VR section?
I run a Quest 3 and have the resolution all the way over to the right in the Oculus desktop settings. Then in AMS2 I run the Supersampling in the VR setting section at 1.2.
That setting had a a habit of constantly resetting itself but in the latest few versions it seems to work fine. It definitely works for me. it is quite a big GPU overhead obviously but it really helps with the jaggies that you still get even with MSAA on high.

supesampling in vr section is something else i think.. i posted the picture where my supersampling can't be turned on..
anyway i play at 3.100x3.100 and if i turn to 4.500x4.500 i not see any difference, also if i use supersampling in the game 2.0

Just for comparisons, I am seeing no differences from prior versions with either MSAA or TAA. I am using nVIDIA 581.42 (driver only) on Windows 10.

Hello, I want to ask if this is just the case for me or for everyone. For some time now the setups have no longer been saved on the loaded route but among all routes. It also no longer saves the changed setup and instead I have to look for it again from all routes (the setup is then with the *)

Play in VR, the same problem here, from this update on, TAA sharpness 0 or 450 no difference at all, blurry, no functional sharpness in msaa now also blurry, and this damned crackling sounds in cockpit view GTE cars all circuits in VR,

Hi,
A few patches ago the way setups are being saved has changed.

Hi,
Feel free to report your issues or bugs in:
Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)
Using the proper format & with evidence like screenshots or video. It's ok to feel frustrated, but that won't solve any issues you're having. Best is to provide information, so my colleague's can tackle the problem.

I'm experiencing strange behaviour with my wheel - it's spinning hard when changing vehicle setups in "Test Day" mode. I have a Logitech RS50 but I talked to somebody else with a Logitech Pro Wheel and they're seeing exactly the same issue.

I can consistently reproduce:
-Ensure FFB profile is Default or Default+ (problem does not happen when it's set to custom)
-Start a "Test Day" session.
-Choose your car and track and press Start
-Click Edit Setup
-Modify something (even just the fuel load)
-Press Back - The wheel will violently spin 1.5 to 2 times
-Sometimes the wheel doesn't spin but then it does if you press Edit Setup again the second time

Changing Menu Spring Strength does not solve the issue. The wheel isn't even actually "centering" - it's just spinning hard and when it's done (according to the OLED graph on the wheel base) it's hard all the way over in one direction or the other)

It seems like it might be some kind of bug given that it only happens in Test Day and only with the Default/Default+ profiles. Not sure if it's only affecting logitech wheels or others as well.

@ACITceva

Hi,

There's interesting. What you could try:

Reset AMS2 Settings
1. Back up your AMS2 folder in My Documents.
2. Delete the original folder.
3. Launch AMS2
4. Go into Test Day and see if your issue is solved.

Alternatively you can delete the tuningfolder, the controller.sav and the ffb_custom_settings.txt file.

Verify Steam Cache
1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
2. Right-click on Automobilista 2 (AMS2) > Properties.
3. Navigate to Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.
4. Wait for the process to complete.
5. Boot up AMS2 and check if the issue is solved.

Thanks. I went ahead and tried both things. Deleted the "Automobilista 2" folder from My Documents and also Verify Integrity of Game Files. But it didn't fix anything - the wheel is still doing the same thing as before. (Although - after deleting the folder, the default settings had less FFB Gain setup than I had before so the wheel was spinning somewhat less violently - but still definitely spinning fully one direction)

Thanks. Can you give me the car and track or is it just any combo? I will test it later tonight with my setup and see if I experience the same issue. Otherwise, it could be indeed a Logitech-thing.

I think it's any combo but if you want to test a baseline - I'm definitely able to reproduce it using the McLaren GT3 Evo and Spa-Francochamps 2022

I tested it on my setup. I can't reproduce it, so probably it is related to Logitech. Need more samples. Edit: Had someone with a logitech base testing this for me. Going to report this internally

OK, thanks for the answer, it will always stay that way now because I don't find it really comfortable, it used to be much clearer.

and then I also noticed that when you start the video after the race, the leaderboard in the HUD does not dynamically reflect the rankings as the race progresses, but rather remain rigid, like the starting grid, and does not change.

That's a very old post obviously but I encountered the same issue with Fanatec DD+ and TLCM pedals. AMS2 recognises both the wheel and pedals as the same axis. I almost got my hand injured the first time I launched race and pressed throttle (the FFB read it as immediate wheel rotation fully to the side and fought it with full force).

The solution from Dmytro worked for me even though it looks so weird.

Turning off Steam Input did absolutely nothing. It's still the game, which has some issue. POV sticks also are not possible to assign, even though in LMU and iracing it works fine.

Automobilista

Steam app ID = 1066890

Jan 20, 2026 - AMS2 V1.6.9.3 - Steam build 21569614, this build locks-up and freezes.
Installed content updated: Jan 26, 2026
AMS2 V1.6.9.3 is unstable, description states;
"One more round of minor fixes & improvements, save for some unforeseen issue it should wrap up this release cycle.

Dec 23, 2025 - AMS2 V1.6.9.0 - Steam build 20680884 that is working without issues.
Hopefully there is another update planned after AMS2 V1.6.9.3, because all the new cars and tracks are unavailable in the stable build AMS2 V1.6.9.0.

Also it is important to note that all new content for "Racing America" (that I paid for) worked during the "free preview" period and only stopped working after the cut-off date.
Quote;
"The update also adds the Tourist layout of the Nordschleife, along with a new pack of amazing Supercars.
Keeping to the spirit of the season, all new content introduced in this update is free for all users to try and enjoy through the Holiday season until the early days of 2026."

I have gone thru all the recommended "fixes" in this thread, including a full uninstall and re-install. and as before nothing works, other than a new release from Reiza that is stable on my rig.

here is my previous post on this lockup issue using a build from Aug 9th 2025

Troubleshooting - Automobilista 2

Any help in finding the game lockup issue with my setup would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to wait endlessly for a new release and HOPE that it fixes my issue.

YouTube video of lockup

since making this video I have also tried disabling all overlays from Steam/Nvidia/Discord and turned off screen recording & capture, and even tried with all Fanatec software turned off, and the wheel and base unplugged to make sure it wasn't my Fanatec equipment or software.

Hello,

I've tested the same combo I didn't run in a lock up. Can you verify to me you've verified your cache? As well do you have any mods installed? If yes, please remove them and see if you can load up without crashing to desktop.

Thank you,
Marius

Thanks for the quick reply Marius!
Cache is verified and all files verified in Steam check, I am not running any mods.
this has happened once before and all attempts to fix it failed, I had to wait for another release for it to start working again, and I made no changes to my software or hardware at that time. since then I have upgraded my video card from the RTX 3090, to a RTX 5070ti, which worked until the latest version update.
I appreciate any help or suggestions you may have.
Michael

edit; I have also configured my WebRoot software to allow all processes from AMS2

thanks again Marius, just to be clear, the cache I cleared was my internet browser cache, is that the cache you referred to?

Hello,

This is the 'verify cache' I am referring too. Since you wrote you've all files verified, I bet you've done this, and you've done a full re-install and install as well, so should be good

Verify Steam Cache

1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
2. Right-click on Automobilista 2 (AMS2) > Properties.
3. Navigate to Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.
4. Wait for the process to complete.
5. Boot up AMS2 and check if the lock up is solved.
Have you also tried this?

Backup & Delete AMS2 Folder
1. Go to My Documents
2. Back up the Automobilista 2 folder
3. Delete the original folder
4. Boot up AMS2
5. Boot up AMS2 and check if the lock up is solved.

Sorry to bother you, but I need to make sure you’ve tried these two methods. Since you mentioned it worked in one version but not the other, that’s interesting. If you ever had mods installed it could be that there are left-overs in your AMS2 install-folder, even when you done a full uninstall.
