Troubleshooting - Automobilista 2

Hoping someone can help out with this. Recently upgraded to a 9nm Simagic Alpha EVO Sport. The steering is just, not there at all. Turning the sensitivity up or down, the steering is never 1:1 with my actual wheel. I set it up through the custom settings and all that as suggested by the manufacturer, but the steering itself seems to either end up delayed, or oversaturated at some point of turning. Not sure if it's a wheelbase setting I'm missing, or something that Reiza haven't experienced yet?

I'm really weirded out since I've also experienced some sort of issue in [endurance-based sim] (oversaturated steering more than anything else), but in [latest open-wheel simcade] it works flawlessly.

Not sure if this scenario is just a lack of vendor support on the side of Simagic or something else? I could only assume as such since Thrustmaster have a specific setting, but not others. Really hope someone can help though, I'd like to get rid of the buyer's remorse. :')

 

All good! User error lol, turns out I just had to recalibrate! I did clear all the prior assignments in-game beforehand as well, so it's just me forgetting about the calibration part. I'd say a suggestion for a new wheel being detected/having the option changed to Custom should trigger a setup wizard of sorts. So, binding like the game wants, and then automatically moving into calibration! Just to make it a biiiit clearer, though in my defense, I should've done that from the start as well haha. Everything's all good now, thanks!

 

Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 - Content Missing

I recently logged back on and realized some of my paid DLC is missing. Specifically the Stock USA cars and tracks (I havn't checked for anything else). When I checked the DLC checklist it was no longer listed, instead it seems to now be bundled with Racing USA, which is strange because I remember paying for those cars some time ago also. What's goin on?

hello everyone , i have my set ups set to all tracks ...(don't ask me why ) and i want it BY TRACKS (scuse caps it pisses me off)
what have i done wrong ?
it musst be on my side, no one on earth is dumb enough to not understand a set up cannot match all tracks wtf
your set up on azure monaco can't work on Monza, believe it or not it won't be efficient, you can't be fast on monza with a Monaco grand prix set up for your car !

so where is my error ?
it is a HUGE bug:trouble
it should be so easy to fix it but you need to be aware of the bug, i'm running the very last version of AMS2

 

Setups will never be again "by track" because it was causing a setup bug to happened very often.

i will rename my saves to include wich track is it on their name

 

You can also add a description to the setups before saving them

 

am I the only one whos game crashes after pressing the new cars selection on the menu?

 

I get a lot of CTDs since the last update (1.6.9.8). I always reportet it via BugSplag, do others also have more crashes than usual?

 

No mods at all. I will reinstall the game tonight and delete all files from Documents/Automobilista 2.
I switched from VR to a 7680x1440 triple setup on Windows 11 (i7-14700K, RTX 4090, 64GB RAM). I am getting random mid-race crashes, sometimes it freezes completely (requiring Task Manager), sometimes it drops straight to desktop, and other times I get a BugSplat. On windows 10 and VR it ran without such problems. Can you recommend the best settings for stability?

• HAGS: Should I disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling in Windows 11?
• Nvidia Surround: I disabled it because it caused lower FPS and massive micro-stutters. I now run Borderless Windowed with G-Sync set to "Windowed and Fullscreen". Can running triples without Surround cause stability issues?
• RAM (XMP): My RAM runs at 6600 MHz via XMP. Since crashes happen randomly (even when the system is cold), could disabling XMP to run at stock 4800/5600 MHz help with AMS2's data streaming?
• Launch Options: Are there any specific Steam launch options (like forcing a certain DirectX version) that you recommend for high-end Windows 11 setups to prevent hardware deadlocks?
• triplescreensettings.xml: Since I am running triples without Nvidia Surround, could a corrupt or misconfigured triplescreensettings.xml in the Documents folder cause these types of crashes?

 

Has anyone else's game been crashing a lot more often now? Anytime I load up a race, even without mods, the game crashes and I get BugSplat.

 

Scratch that example I made, I was selecting a test day, was browsing the cars, and I was just simply kicked out. I did reinstall some old mods that I know don't work with the new update but I never selected them or chose to use them.
