Troubleshooting - Automobilista 2

    Is there a problem with my game? Dedicated servers online are not showing after the update. Can someone confirm?

    Hello,

    Apologies to read you're experiencing issues. The lobbylist works fine here. Please ensure you're in the correct bracket/game version. Also check if your online status in your Steam friend list is not set to 'offline'.

    Edit:I am too quick to judge. I don't see dedicated servers as well. I suppose the dedicated servers needs to be updated. Hold on. I will see what information I can gather.

    So it’s because the dedicated server hasn’t been updated yet, right? Do you know when the DS update is expected to be released? And has there been any issue or problem that caused the delay? Thanks for looking into it!

    I haven't been able to complete a single lap since the update. Whether I'm on the setup screen of de car, or out on the track starting a lap, sometimes after a few seconds, other times after a few minutes, the graphics freeze. I can still hear the car driving and crashing, but the screen is locked, and I have to close the game manually. I've searched Google and found reports of the same issue, but no solution. Does anyone know what to do?

    Hello,

    Sorry to read you're experiencing issues. Can you try the following:

    To back up and delete the AMS2 folder in My Documents
    1. Navigate to My Documents.
    2. Locate/Rename the AMS2 folder.
    3. Copy the AMS2 folder to a backup location (e.g., external drive or another directory).
    4. Delete the original AMS2 folder from My Documents.
    5. Boot up AMS2 and check if the game behaves fine now
    To verify the Steam cache:
    1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
    2. Right-click Automobilista 2 (AMS2) > Properties.
    3. Navigate to Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.
    4. Wait for the process to complete.
    5. Boot up AMS2 and check if the game behaves fine now
    To remove mods:
    1. Navigate to the AMS2 installation folder.
    2. Delete any mods or leftover files related to mods.
    3. Boot up AMS2 and check if the game behaves fine now
    Career-applications
    1. Boot up the game without using any career-applications, Like Zero to Apex, etc.
    Reinstall your GPU-drivers:
    1. Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)
    2. Boot into Safe Mode:
      • Press Win + R, type msconfig, go to the Boot tab.
      • Check Safe boot > Minimal, then OK. Restart.
    3. Run DDU:
      • Select GPU (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel).
      • Follow steps
    4. Install the latest GPU drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

    I had already deleted the AMS2 folder in "My Documents," reconfigured the simulator, and verified the game files on Steam.
    I ran a test today: I launched the simulator and started a race, using two different mods, without the steering wheel connected, and there were no crashes. However, when I open AMS2 with the G27 connected, it freezes after a few minutes on the track. The thing is, I didn't have this problem before the latest update, the G27 worked fine.

    That's indeed weird. What I could think of is to try another USB-port, or reinstall G-hub/Logitech drivers and see if that solves your issue.
