How many different threads are needed for that? We had this conversation in now closed dev update(s), new hype thread, general chit-chat and few others... I totally agree: one dedicated thread is fine for that matter.
My guess is that at some point the poor comunication will turn into no comunication, no release dates, no details, we'll just get info 2 weeks before release on whats comming and thats it. Kinda like other developers do it, because its becoming clear that when devs talk about an estimate release date people see it as promises.
How is that not better? Maybe some people like a long drawn-out build up, but I'd PREFER it if we just got a heads up two weeks before the release.
For me it's the contrary, I like to see whats being worked on and having detailed info on what they're working on. Even if that means sometimes things that are being talked about are months from release
True, but why did they started screaming "V1.6 is the best ever and it is coming SOON!!" of the roofs way back when? Could have thought of the fact people get inpatient and start to get 'angry' because of the fact 'it takes so long'.
I'm sorry, but the public forum has turned into one big meme. There's nothing more that can be said, so here's another.
For the sake of Crimson's sanity, I'll stop now. Be back after 1.6 drops so I can listen to the whining about ---insert your favorite bug here--- not being fixed. Some things are inevitable.
You already play the almost completed 1.6 with your expansive 200$ usd paddock membership. So easy for you to mock no member with stupid meme. So easy for you to said be patient, it will come when its ready when you litterally have 1.6.
I already said this, but since you have a reading comprehension problem I'll repeat it. I DON'T have the beta installed. Now go boo hoo to someone who cares what you think. I don't. Sorry Crimson, I'm out now.
If there is nothing to communicate? People are so impatient these days, what do you want Reiza to communicate, only illusions? Just wait and enjoy AMS2 is all you can do or temporarily switch to another sim.
First of all, there were no promises, just aims and vague timescales that were taken VERY literally. Secondly, take a look at this thread's first post: Road to V1.6 Hype Train (cont.) and see how many changes are known and compare it to previous releases. It will take more time, especially since Renato specifically mentioned that the development cycle will be longer and cover more. Thirdly, "soon™" is relative. Also, no delayed computer game update should make people angry. If your life depends on it you're most likely a Reiza employee Disappointment, maybe but anger is not even understandable in this context.
I agree that some of this has got out of hand. On the other side of that a lot of this could have been closed down fairly shortly after the live stream with a simple post. "Hi guys doing the last 10% is taking us a bit longer than we thought, It's probably going to be another 2 months" or whatever they thought a realistic timeframe would be. It didn't have to be a dev update or anything complicated. Like in a lot of situations these days an absence of information just leads to a bunch of speculation and arguing.
