    Everything I needed <3
With this, I can develop a F1 MyTeam Career app:whistle:
Imagine starting your team at 1966 season, going all the way up to 2030:p

Can't wait to drive this formula car, it's just my favorite model of all *--*
    Thanks :hurrayreiza:

Hooray! Thanks for the update Renato. With how fast time has been flying (how are we already in February?!) we'll have all this cool stuff in our hands soon enough :)

(p.s., I know it's not the right time but here's my vote for an updated Super V8 but also, older H-pattern variants like the 1989 and 1992 era ATCC, as well as 1996-ish and 2004-ish V8 Supercars... so awesome...)

Thank you, Reiza, thank you!!!! I really hope the Mustang is still coming to conclude the IMSA content. Thank you for everything, and continued success with your work! Thank you to the entire Reiza team for your hard work.

Really nice post and I really appreciate the discussion of the philosophy of the sim at the start. I believe I fall into the category described, time poor and ambition rich! This is why the AI behaviour is such a critical thing to me so I appreciate more updates and focus being planned in that area.

Similarly the game manager; I would love a way to 'remove', compress or offload chunks of the content that I don't use and never will - for the bigger update that comes next I'm likely to have to look through my Steam library to choose what to remove otherwise.

Mid race saves will be a game changer potentially - I'm curious to know more about the restrictions but either way thanks for putting the time into that.

If there's one thing not mentioned I'd like to see, it would be more in-game methods to customise AI grids

The content has some great news and brings a few concerns. Again, I'm really thankful for you laying out the reasons behind content choices, but I fear several classes just missing the touches to make them feel finished. The 'AMS2verse' concept I can get on board with, but I really hope there are some manufacturer deals that you didn't feel you could preview yet (Ford, looking at you).

Do I understand correctly that a second part of the 2005 sportscar pack is planned? I wasn't quite sure from the wording, but if so this is incredible news - that's the commitment to depth that I hoped to see. Panoz? TVR? Corvette C6R?

Single seaters aren't interesting to me personally - I couldn't tell you the difference between any of these mid 2000s versions - but the vintage sportscar content certainly is.

My only concern is the depth again. Will the 917 have competition? The T61 Maserati doesn't really fit the circuit eras we have and will it have competition? Super Touring era is famous for its variety of manufacturers so how many is realistic? Will CanAm have a matching Lola and/or Porsche? Will the modern sportscars get any additions? Will the mid 70s GTs get any friends? Any hope for a Group C addition (Aston Martin)? Thanks for the reassuring post about this not being the place to reveal new manufacturers Renato, I really look forward finding out!

Probably the most exciting content announcement here for me is the part about historic versions of existing tracks. This is absolutely one of the things that keeps AMS2 as one of the four racing games I have installed (AC, AMS2, ACR, LMU) and having some historic versions of the American tracks would be a dream. Obviously the '88 and '71 Le Mans versions will be absolute highlights too.

Still no idea how you will manage to even conceptualise a career mode for this variety of content, let alone develop one. Take your time there, certainly no expectations on my part about that making the cut for this year.

Anyway, enough rambling for now - thanks for the communication and for the work on the super game :)

Perfectly timed to take advantage of the upcoming Steam Machine! I just hope more wheel manufacturers release Linux drivers...

A few friends will finally make the switch to PC only due to the Steam Machine (for sure I'm not the only person in this situation either). They've heard me talk about AMS2 ever since PC3 bombed so I look forward to them experiencing the world beyond GT7.

Reiza should team up with The-Race.com somehow, those guys (specifically the hosts from "And Colossally That's History!" and "Bring Back V10s") would appreciate AMS2 as the content is a perfect match (and I'm sure many on this forum would like those podcasts too).

I really like the content adds and the game. It's my favorite sim, keep on growing! The historic content is perfect but in my opinion there is just one blind spot in your content. It's not only the blind spot of AMS2 but of all sims.
Please consider to bring along electric cars, like Formula e or other e series? This is the future of car racing and the future of mobility. Even in F1 an electric drive unit contributes to 50% of the hp. I believe in 5 years, any car with a combustion engine will be historic content. So you should start the transformation in AMS2.

Wow, just reading this and feeling the anticipation brings tears to your eyes. I don’t like every piece of content that’s offered (i dont like old cars, although im old myself :D), but I still buy it to support Reiza in some way. I love the current GT3 and LMDH cars and hope there’s more to come. It would also be great if they reconsidered adding new open-wheelers. I really miss modern F2–F4 cars. The current formula cars are too fast for me… it feels like you’re playing AMS2 in fast-forward mode. And yeah… that might be due to my age :D.

But the best part for me personally from Renato’s post? This upcoming section. I hope I’m not reading too much into it, but this could be huge. Just imagine getting the RSS content in AMS2!

Hi @Renato Simioni , aside from how awesome the dev update is overall, one part in particular really caught my attention:

“We will also be pushing to boost user customization options & improved modding support, including support for modding individual car performance (both as a way to better model various seasons in modding packs as well as producing bespoke BoP options for MP leagues)…“
Does this mean we’ll be able to effectively “edit a backmarker” (or generally tailor the performance of a specific car/team)?

For example: if I want to play the 1991 F1 season as Mika Häkkinen in the Lotus, could I adjust that car’s performance so I simply can’t be as fast as a Williams or a McLaren from that season—i.e., pace ceilings that reflect the real competitive order?

If that’s what you mean, it would be an absolute dream for historical seasons and career-style roleplay. Any details on how granular this will be (engine power, aero, grip, reliability, etc.)?

This is great to hear, especially as Reiza has its roots in modding - it means a great deal to me that you guys are continuing to pass down the torch to the modmakers of today and the future! Even if the game or Madness Engine aren't inherently moddable, we've already seen a bespoke mod track not ported from PC2 released for the game and I only hope this process can be made any bit more accessible. Track modelling in Blender feels like it's going through a renaissance period recently, with custom tracks becoming easier than ever to create for other sims - I truly hope AMS2 can see the same.

Yeah, exactly this. If - only _if_ - this is planned to work per livery instead of per car, it could be an absolute game changer fot single player and especially the eventual career mode. If it worked this way, it would actually matter what team (livery) you're racing for, adding an in-series progression that was one of the main things lacking from PC2.

I'm afraid per livery is not viable tho, because I have some doubts the game supports what is essentially the same car having different technical parameters - not that I'd actually know.

I'm currently preparing a YouTube video on BTCC content in games. It sounds like the BTCC in AMS2 is a little way off though, down the year? I might have to just reference it with screenshots for now then, as I hope to have the video out before the BTCC season starts...

I would also like improvements in that area. Some ago I made a suggestion on the feature request thread about how it could work.

Just as car classes exist, they could make every pair of livery be one distinct car subclass that inherit its parents parameters, but allow its own to be tweaked by the end user.

Reiza seem to be moving into Raceroom 'territory' with part 3 of the content roadmap, will be interesting to see how the two compare.
While I understand that new DLC is necessary to keep the chimney smoking I wonder if it isn't getting a bit much.
There are already so many different car classes available in AMS 2, how massive is the roster going to get?

There's no such thing as too much content :)
My dream sim will be every car and every track. Even if it'll require a bespoke 16TB hard drive (probably much larger drive though).
