Knowing Reiza, they're still working on adding one or two points to the changelog list until 14:59 GMT.

Couldn't agree more looking really positive for Reiza this should be the moment they've been building up to.

I think right now I'm mostly interested to see how the thermal tire properties work out. ATM with the GT3 cars the tires very suddenly loose grip after three laps in high temperatures at Donnington, it's not gradual, once they get to about 90 degrees it's like someone's flicked a switch and your back ends up being the front end at the hairpins at low speed, don't even have to be trail breaking. I do so very much hope this is sorted.

Also very interested to see what's been done with a.i. slipstreaming ability for the oval racing, will they actively try to stay in yours and each other's draft?

Oh this is so exciting! I am not going out today that's for muthfudging sure!!!

With pretty high settings I get a stable 90fps in most day time situations with same gear 5900x/3090 using FSR for Open XR: FSR for OpenVR

For sure night time 90fps is not feasible but you can keep same settings and just enable motion reprojection or accept you are just asking too much of the setup with over 9 million pixels - that is more than 4k by1 million pixels...

FSR for Open XR was a game changer for me - from motion projection enabled 45fps (with decent settings in game) to 90 fps at native reoslution on Reverb G2 (3024x3024).

Not sure how you can mention ACC in the same sentence as AMS2/PC2/iRacing etc.. when it comes to VR. Its a god awful experience in ACC - yes 90 fps but its sooooo blurry - that Unreal implementation just plain sucks at VR for sim racing (btw I love ACC but only play it on a monitor due to this).

Reality is this engine is very well optimised for VR... its just relatively new tech that devs in all areas just need to figure out more still to reduce the performance requirements....

EDIT: You are assuming there has been no work in this area - you have no clue and neither do I but I dont think you should presume whilst throwing around words like "furious" - appreciate English may not be your first language so no worries if you did not mean it quite so strongly.

    The calm before the storm.....

Have you noticed the hype thread hasn't been hammered this time with post after post. Wonder why that is?

I love how customisable the whole game is becoming. Would be cool to be able to customise the photos in the menus to match our custom car liveries/championships etc :)

reading through all these messages (just to pass the time until 3pm) fills me with joy

why does time feel like its going slower......

Customisable menu music would be nice, kinda like how AMS1 did things
Hearing the same 1 track kinda gets a bit stale after a while

Hype is killing me too much to chit-chat.

Jokes aside I think the lot of information and a certain release time means we know precisely what to expect so people are not speculating as much

Mostly because I can't exactly put it into words right now...I don't think the mods would look too kindly on me filling the thread up with some variations of "AAAAAAAADFGHSFJSGLSGSDGITSCOMINGSHJDSJDDADKAD:ADAAAAAAAA" :p

Think my mind just got ahead of me watching the promo video and seeing parabolica.

DST don't apply to GMT (nor UTC)

    Edit: Moreover GMT = UTC

In practical terms yes but if you want the "Ackchyually" version UTC is a time standard and GMT the time zone that happens to be at UTC+0 and doesn't change for DST.
This reply is functionally useless but I wanted to share it because why not. :)
