I am really excited for this one! My very first racing game was Forza Motorsport (2005) on the original Xbox and when I saw this beast for the first time in the menu I said to my dad: "This must be the coolest car in the world!" (said it in german tho...)

If you have a powerful enough graphics card that you can afford to run supersampling (either in-game or otherwise) then you're not really the target for TAA. Supersampling is the best possible antialiasing - you're rendering the game at a higher resolution and downsampling to the screen - you won't find anything better but it's also the most expensive AA option.

TAA will be an attractive option for people who don't have the GPU power to run supersampling but would still like to get close to its antialiasing quality. TAA also runs faster than MSAA and accounts for its weaknesses (specular, texture, or shadow aliasing) making it an option worth exploring for MSAA users too.

Since there are many similiar posts here, I know topics like this are important to each who posts this. But please just add them to the according topics like the following ones so Reiza can actually see, analyse and prioritzie it accordingly

But youre forgetting LMU isnt really "new". Studio 397 took over RF2 from ISI in 2016, they used the same engine for LMU. So almost 10 years of development and familiarity with the isimotor engine (and still making updates/changes). Reiza has licensed the madness engine for about half of that.
For the numbers, I like to think of AMS2 players as more sophisticated people who are above the plauge of ABS and GT3 CARS (i really dont like cars with abs if you can't tell) ;). But really, the player base only rose like it did when GT3s went online.....was at its lowest before then.

Coming back on topic again, Reiza accurately simulating the revuelto gives me hopes of having another LMH car with the front hybrid brought to the game.
Can't wait for that new FFB

Good luck with that. I commend you for trying though.

I just wrote it over at Overtake GG:

I really appreciate Reiza's work and I'm very much looking forward to the new cars - especially the GT2 and GT1 class. I love the Porsche 996 GT3 RSR, the Corvette C5.R and the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT.

I'm also very happy that Reiza
    - improved the HUD
    - implemented TAA
    - improved FFB
    - disabled the autoloading of both user-made and autosaved setups
    - are constantly working on physics (e.g. the revision of modern GT drivelines now or all the tyre updates) and AI (e.g. blue flag behaviour)

I am legitimately floored by this news. Reiza firing on all cylinders! The Viper GTS-R alone would close out 2025 on a high note for me, everything else from content to foundational upgrades is beyond exciting. Very much looking forward to it!

Damn that R8 yo. But maybe a V12 LMR could also fill in this group.

Hopefully, with TAA implemented (which in theory means temporal vector data has been added to major car and track elements), this means that DLSS is coming soon.

I have generally been a hater of TAA since its ignominious inception in console games 10 years ago - it has a smeary, trail-y look that muddies high-resolution images and turns lower-resolution ones into mush.

I was not a real believer of DLSS either - although it was a huge improvement from a clarity standpoint, there still was significant ghosting issues with the CNN model - to the point that it was distracting, especially in racing games like ACC.

That all changed with the introduction of the Transformer model. Folks, it's the real deal. It is hands down the best TAA solution on the market. 4K DLSS Quality with the Transformer model is a huge, huge upgrade over native 4K with TAA enabled - and considerably more performant to boot. Clear and sharp static images, fluid motion, minimal to zero ghosting - and getting better with each iteration. Yes, it's more GPU expensive than the CNN DLSS, but I'd say 4K DLSS Quality Transformer in AMS2 would be around, if not a bit lower than, the performance hit of native 1440p with "High" MSAA (what I currently run). And would of course be a considerable visual upgrade.

Now that the framework is there, hopefully it's on the way.

I hope the update arrives tomorrow evening. Tomorrow is a holiday in Germany, and a long weekend is coming up, so I hope I can spend the long weekend working on the update

The path forward should be to implement FSR 3.1.4 which is open source & forward compatible with FSR4 (any FSR3.1.4 game can have FSR4 "forced" via the Adrenaline drivers now on a RDNA4 GPU or Optiscaler which could also make it DLSS compatible).

Do we really need generated frames in a game so well optimized? I'm not the one to glaze AMS2 but the thing runs on damn potatoes. It's the OG Doom of simracing. Kudos to Reiza for that.

We are talking about upscaling here not frame-generation (which is indeed absolutely trash no matter how you slice it)
