This is strict advice you don't even need to own a Golf-R for:

Never drive on any race track in anger based on any consumer simulator experience alone. No matter how hard or easy they are.

This actually sounds like really important advice which could be a disclaimer when you boot up the game. Too many sim racers are carried away with the belief that sim racing games are more then just glorified video games, when they're not.

IIRC Forza have it when you’re starting up the game

About "realism", skill transfers and driving with some beers... I have tried driving in the sim in that state. It was one of the more pedagogical experiences in the last years.

Hi. Do we know when we will get an update to v1.5.0.5 ? Is it usually at the end of the month?

I still find the steering of the Formula Vee very snappy and the car feels heavy as a tractor, it only has 530 kg, though.
Is it supposed to be like that?

On the realism discussion, even if developers could mimic most RW physics, they also need to make any game compatible with a wide variety of platforms. You'd probably need a super computer to handle most of the inputs that simulate real world driving. I think we'll always be guessing about feels real in racing sims.
IMO, what AMS2 does best is make feel what all four wheels are doing as I race. I think it does it better than any other sim.

    Of which month? ;)

And I have to admit, I don't care about when those updates will land, as long as they are done. Development shouldn't be forced to fit schedule but schedule should be adjusted to fit the development.

You have obviously never driven a real racing kart...

Cheap race cars don't have power steering. Expensive ones with giant sticky tires do, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to turn the wheel.

Interesting poll for the group: who here has driven a regular road car without power steering? If you live in a place with modern vehicles, probably unlikely (unless you are old ;) ). And if you did, it was probably a little "puddle jumper," not a family-sized vehicle.

Indycar is one of the exceptions to this though as they don't have powersteering and they have giant sticky tires

Hey, you say I'm old just because I used to drive cars without power steering ;) Yes, we old people still know what it felt like and how you had to crank it

I work on old stuff on a regular basis. No power steering and no power 4 wheel drum brakes. People forget just how bad old cars drove and stopped.

How about a manual on the column? Bet there arent many here that remember those.
