so im new here and i never wanted to make an account or leave a comment in this forum, but i kinda feel like i have to.
im reading in here since last monday where the post came live, i originally come from ac/acc and me and my mates are now in the decision which sim to go to since acc is kinda dying.
i gotta say i like ams2 its quite fun, thats what got me into reading more about it when i came across 1.6.
i really gotta say i dont like the way this is treated, it said in the original post that we are a few days from the update, now its over a week, and even tho i think it could possibly drop today or tomorrow due to steam updates, in my opinion to have no eta is just annoying.
im like 2-3 weeks into ams, game is fine but the way this patch is treated is just frusttrating.
to be clear i dont want to offend anyone, just wanna give you my perspective of a "new" customer.

 

This has been said 10000x. I am sure Reiza will work on communication moving forward, they don’t love this backlash either.

just be patient. I swear people expect Renato to give them a personal apology, a gift basket, and a hug.

They have acknowledged it.

i did, and ive read all the other stuff that ppl from reiza posted in this thread or the hype train thread.
and i still think the same, and as emptyjar above said, it has been said 10k times before, probably for a reason, and my guess would be that its not like this for 2 weeks.
and no i dont expect **** as a apology, if you have time to comment in this forum, youll find some time to do a post on X with an roughly eta.
i wanted to give my perspective as a guy that just found out about this game, and im pretty sure im not the only one who thinks like that.

 

Staging Tests on Steam have been coming at a rapid pace, so your wait shouldn't be too much longer. Keep the faith!

Edit: fyi, I haven't had the beta installed in over a month. I'm as anxious as anyone else as I know what's coming!

 

If the mention of "few days" or "few weeks" sends people over the edge here in the forums I can't imagine how an ETA on twitter would be treated.

 

Welcome. Many people have brought this up including myself, It's very frustrating and on this forum a lot of people just defend whatever Reiza do.

I think more folks just know what to expect and advise people not to expect it to change, especially if they've been onboard since the initial early access phase. No amount of input or complaining or reasoning will change the fact that Reiza's projections are to be taken with a heaping pile of salt. The alternative is that they don't give us any insight into what's being worked on and the general timeframe they would like to get it in our hands. Small team, unforeseen roadblocks/issues, insane amount of content and variations thereof to change, test and dial in. What many see as a defense of Reiza is usually just a recognition of the above and development being unpredictable. "When it's done" isn't a cheeky catchall, it's the only thing you can count on.

 

to add to that, there is no point in worrying/getting annoyed by things out of your hands, makes life a lot more pleasant as well

 

Exactly, not do "defend everything Reiza does", communication could improve, not necesarily in giving explanations or insight into the game, I think they do this better than anybody else, but when it comes to giving estimates timeframes there's a lot of room to improve, BUT, if you give an estimate date for an update, it could be finished sooner than expected and then we're waiting for nothing or it could happen later and then we're going to be angry because they missed a concrete mark, personally I think it's better to just wait until they have it ready and then hit the deploy button. But yeah I think a lot of us are used to delays (although 1.6 has been particulary brutal)

 

if we are talking about games a mix of science and art its a bit unfair to set this in a standard industry context. Wondering if we have a Mona Lisa in case Leonardo has a deadline in place

 

Can't wait to see what the videos some Beta members will soon produce, especially since I am away from my rig for some time. These should be videos showcasing the update properly.

This is simply not true. If anything Reiza representatives keep acting a little bit like a diva with statements in vein of "this is how we do things, if you don't like that then don't buy" and "there never was a date, so it can't be late".

I mean I was upset in October. Right now I'm totally in the "let them cook" club, but to say they acknowledged the issues with comunication is not facts accurate.

And for the record I still much prefer Reiza way of doing things in general, so I'll still happily buy all the packs when they drop despite all of this

 

Sorry, I misunderstood your original post. I thought you were not getting aids on the old cars, which is as it should be. @HER0 helps explain that the bug is not one way--you get the opposite of what is intended, not always a removal of the aids (that we hear most about due to the popularity of the GT3's, etc.). I just learned something new about this old bug!!
