In my case, it's been less than 24 hours since I bought the DLC, and I understand that most people are in the same situation. Whether you buy it or not, we've been able to enjoy it since yesterday, October 31st. What I do find striking is that some people (a very small minority) always have time to complain, request, and/or correct things. It seems strange to me; I don't have enough time to enjoy the infinite combinations this brilliant simulator has to offer, much less dedicate time to asking, criticizing, or correcting things. Perhaps I prefer using the steering wheel more than the keyboard. Once again, thank you, Reiza, for the constant development of Automobilista 2.

This whole thing is like walking a tightrope...don't ask the acrobat if he can do it on ice skates.

    Nice update Reiza like allways!
I just hope i can choose cars and liveries in both championship and single-player mode (custom grid) Often, some cars, like the Mini Cooper (Classic Cup B), don't appear in races, and when they do, it's impossible to race against them—there's a huge performance difference compared to the others. That happen in others classes too. It would also be great to have the ability to create teams, most classes in real life race in teams of at least 2 cars. I think that's the only feature i'm missing in the simulator right now.
    Keep going!

Watch the GPLaps video (linked above) of some of the new content racing at Sebring. Provide your critique. I would say it is getting very close if not already there.

No, but it is needed :)

Either I speak worse english than I thought or some people like to twist my words.

All I wanted to say to the original quote was: if career mode depends on getting AI good enough for it, what a good enough AI means or when would Reiza reach such AI state they can move forward with things that depend on it (ie: career mode / tyre compounds).

Also, not sure if Renato's part of the post about complaining about not having a career mode was directed at me, but if it was, I'm not sure where this is coming from... I'm not particularly interested in this feature at all :)

Having spent the last couple of days driving this update I just want to say great job Reiza, this one is by far one of the best updates we've had in a while, the AI has been fantastic to race against and every car I've drove has been really enjoyable, mega job!

With Formula Reiza being expanded by four more cars, shall we expect some expansion for Formula-Ultimate-Gen2 in near future to fit the 11th team on F1 grid?

Had a race with the Viper on road Atlanta short layout vs AI.

Absolutely fantastic! The car feels stunning when pushing, the car track combo is a real workout.

AI behaved really well, I was having a real fight for 4th place with a MC12, both of us being quicker on different parts of the track. Very believable close racing with multiple passes from each of us.

I think this update, with this DLC is a huge step forward.

I'm shocked that no one has mentioned the sound of the Maserati yet. I don't really see a future where this particular car doesn't become a meme (within the AMS2 community). I was running a full grid of 2005 GT1 only at Watkins Glen Short (Inner Loop) and I had to pit for a little more than 90s seconds in my C5.R. While waiting for the pit crew to refuel and replace my rubber, I just listened and could easily pick out the multiple Maseratis moving around the circuit out of sight.

It's almost like standing in a supermarket and you can hear some douchebag with a vuvuzela moving up and down the aisles. You can pinpoint exactly which aisle the vuvuzela (sorry, the Maserati) is on! Even when I am three full seconds behind one of them on-track, I can tell exactly where it sits. Even when one of them is slowly approaching you from behind, you don't even need a rear-view mirror because the sound of that exhaust building from the rear is unmistakable.

All the comments about the cockpit cam audio and how it may be filtered or toned down and the Maserati you're racing against has no issues with its exhaust cutting through the audio mix, lol.

What a great update on my favourite Sim out there. The bang for buck is insane guys and I happily throw money at you for another five years :D

But with the introduction of TAA I am a bit on a loss what AA-Option to use now. Since, I think 1.5, I have been running Supersampling on High with a few compromises on the other settings and a acceptable framerate between 60-80 depending on circumstances. I tried some other setups and could run full-ultra with TAA at around 100-120 frames. Supersampling seems to look better, but the higher framerate would be nice too ... any recommendations?

Thank you so much dear Reiza-Team that you and your game exists! :hurrayreiza:

TAA in monitors is the best use of TAA I saw in any game that I ever played. Shadows and night racing now are beautiful.

In VR, as in any title, needs massive supersampling to be acceptable and still blurry. For the first time i'm playing this thing in 2D, because now is a pleasure to the eyes.

VR is really painful. Anything besides MSAA make a soup of pixels.

The TAA implementation is truly great and probably one of the best out there. Only downside is that it suffers from the same in-cockpit windshield aliasing issue as MSAA which has been present since Project Cars (it's even more noticeable now that the whole frame is aliasing free with TAA) :

Hopefully the team will be able to figure something out in the not-to-disant future because that's a real bummer.

I have to agree here. Seeing OP giving up 75% of their total GPU performance just for anti-aliasing feels like a bit too much to stretch. Having a consistent, high framerate is very valuable for consistency of control input (but obviously diminishing returns beyond ~120 Hz).

I solve the massive blurry in VR after racing in 4K, monitor.

Maybe people that only played in VR, like myself, can try this and if possible Reiza can enable the SS setting ingame in VR tab when TAA is enabled, because now It appears disabled.

And this is what makes Reiza unique, you guys stick with the plan, and don’t bulge for the quick win half assed mode or for strict deadlines, or quick money grab. Slowly but surely, Ams2 has been improving and improving on all aspects, and for having this approach, which is really an exception nowadays makes you guys more like artisans of sim racing, slowly crafting a masterpiece. And for this approach you guys will always have my support. Well done and thanks for all the hard work and passion. Let’s enjoy now some time travel to 2005 to have great racing.

I believe he was asking if it was possible for the game renderer to offer the option of enabling the AMS2 built-in Supersampling setting while also have TAA enabled. I'm sure the Madness Engine is full of bugs or quirks that have slowed/stalled progress on things like this. I know it is possible to combine Nvidia DLDSR with the new TAA (as I've done it on my own machine today). I have noticed that enabling TAA while I was using DLDSR (1.78x factor for effective 5120x2880 internal resolution downscaled to 4K) that my fps dropped into the teens when enabling TAA (vs ~75fps with TAA disabled). When playing at plain old 4K, the fps drop for enabling TAA was less than 5-6%. This could just be a driver bug or other oddity (DLDSR has not always been stable in every game in every situation for me over the years and I understand some game just don't like being run at unsupported extra-high resolutions).

I wonder if it is feasible to offer an internal resolution slider within the video options (similar to lots of other PC games) where the user can select a numbered value between 25-150 designating the percentage of the current output resolution that the engine would internally render prior to final output. For example, a user playing at 4K resolution would be able to set the slider at ~66% and have the game render ~1440p before a quick upscale out to the native 4K resolution of the monitor.
