They actually didn't mess up the sound, if you look at onboard recordings from the time, especially when they're on the grid waiting for the start, the idle sound is absolutely spot on.
I do agree, though, that the car is now a little too unstable with the default setup, often times feeling like the traction control is not up to par. I like it, but it takes some time getting used to.

I always thought the V10 Gen 2 was too arcadey before. You could floor the throttle almost at any point and suffer no consequences.

I love Formula hybrid gen 1, if it could have several models, i would be very happy also, at least 3 like for 1995, because in those years every cars were different

Same with Forumla Classics, before this most recent update at least.

Sadly I'm working away from home for another month yet, so no chance to try the new release yet...

This is now corrected along with some other minor details in the latest "silent" hotfix that went out earlier this morning.

Great update as always, but the old HUD is still much better. I hope the option to always choose between the current and the new one is maintained, even when the new HUD is out of beta.

I would prefer having the new hud with options like background opacity and scaling. Without them it is not good for VR use.

Heavily depending on the car and track combo and apparently the session.

I've been running a Formula Edge championship in the beta. 3 races in so far and I've had no major complaints minus my personal skill issues and certain drivers living up to their real life counterparts a little too well. (Taki Inoue living up to his reputation as a speed bump.)

However, for some reason I did run into the cars running into butt sniff formation at Imola in qualifying only. It didn't happen in the race and it didn't happen in practice, so...

Also on a similar note, as Jake GPlaps just found out in his video, The AI are hyper focused on spending as a little time in the pitbox as possible. So they are almost always matching however much fuel they put in the car with whatever amount of time it takes to change the tires, turning most full-length races into a two stop.

If you run a fuel or tire wear multiplier, you need to keep this in mind because 63 liters (usually about the equalization point between tires and fuel) naturally has about a lap to lap and a half buffer zone of extra fuel If you cut the race into thirds. If you run 2x fuel that buffer zone gets cut in half and so the AI will naturally pit all on the same lap because they can't stretch the fuel as far as they should be able.

Just a quirk of the game at the moment. What you can do theoretically to change this, is cut the race distance back by one lap. That will add back to the buffer that the AI is expecting to allow them to play out their strategy correctly, theoretically.

Agreed, there are still some issues with the new hud imo. The new speedo don't have a throttle/brake/clutch trace which is kinda important to me.

I felt literally no difference and i drove them just two days before the update. I believe you are experiencing some placebo. Also you likely had too much TC and kept losing a lot of speed at the cost of the car not spinning out.

Don't sleep on the Diablo, the OG Supertrofeo... Loved it before the update but it clearly got some love and it's hard to put down.

I think it's super unique and it has some of the qualities I hope to find in the touring car classes that might come later down the line.
Very softly sprung, especially compared to more modern gt's. Some actual body roll and terrible brakes compared to modern ones.
Gives it a proper sense of weight too..
Makes for a super lively car over bumps and kerbs.
Demands restraint in all phases of cornering and just keeps you "busy" in the most pleasant way the entire time.

Overall very, very impressed with the update. Physics for the affected classes, beimg able to get into a proper 1995 season with F1, the new smoke effects.
Engaged for hours and hours after a 3 month or so hiatus.
To think what is on the menu later in the year fills me with a warm anticipation that games rarely manage with me anymore in recent years.

    Tc? Sure, maybe.

Placebo? Absolutely not. How do I know this? On the account that I havent event tried it with the latest physics.

Problem solved! The issue was not caused by the Automobilista 2 update, but by the Lovely Dashboard update. It has been fixed with version 3.0.1 of the plugin and version 4.0.1 of the dashboard.

Just tried all the different GT3 Gen2s, most of the GT4 cars and the F3. Wow! All of the cars I've tried feel correct. You can create and manage some slip angle using the brake or the gas, go too far and you'll spin just like you would in real life. Cold tired behaviour for those cars feel correct too and you can feel the improvement in grip as the tires start to warm up. This is the most realistic AMS2 has felt. Well done Team Reiza!!!

Yes, the new HUD provides more information than the current one, but it still needs polishing and recover what works well in the current version. The fonts are too small and the background contrast is bad. Let's wait for the final version; Reiza always brings us good surprises, like the new amazing free cars..;)

I am using the current HUD because the WIP is still unfinished but saw videos that the new speedometer no longer includes the pedal input, why ? Is there a way to enable it ? It was extremely helpful for me to see how much throttle and brake i am using. I do not understand why this UI feature was removed.
